The Nigeria Cadet Network, Osun State Command, under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Aux. Amb. Commander Adegboyega Samuel O., the Osun State Commander and National Director, Media and Publicity, successfully hosted a historic and memorable investiture ceremony of Her Regal Majesty, Olori Amb. Dr. Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi as the Osun State Royal Grand Matron of the Nigeria Cadet Network Osun State Command.
The landmark event also witnessed the official launch and distribution of 35,000 copies of the “Educate to Protect” books, designed to promote child safety education and responsible citizenship among secondary school students across the South-West region of Nigeria. This remarkable 2-in-1 ceremony took place at the revered Ile-Oodua Palace, the traditional seat of authority of the Ooni of Ife, symbolizing the unity between traditional institutions, community leadership, and youth-focused development initiatives.
The ceremony attracted a distinguished gathering of traditional rulers, government representatives, international delegates, security stakeholders, community leaders, youth organizations, and education advocates, all united by a common vision to strengthen child protection, youth empowerment, moral discipline, and community safety across Nigeria and beyond. The event further demonstrated the growing recognition of the Nigeria Cadet Network as a leading force in promoting civic responsibility and safeguarding the future of young people.
His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Arole Oodua, Olofin Adimula, Ojaja II, graciously endorsed the initiative and the investiture ceremony. The revered monarch was ably represented at the occasion by Oba Adekunle Adebowale Agbolu, who delivered a goodwill message on behalf of the Ooni of Ife. In his remarks, he described the Educate to Protect Initiative as a timely and impactful intervention that will contribute significantly to strengthening moral values, discipline, safety awareness, and national consciousness among young Nigerians. He further emphasized the importance of community participation in nurturing responsible and law-abiding citizens.

A major highlight of the event was the official unveiling and launch of Handbooks and 35,000 copies of the “Educate to Protect” books, which will be distributed to secondary schools across the South-West geopolitical zone. The initiative forms a core component of the Nigeria Cadet Network’s ongoing Educate to Protect Initiative, aimed at equipping young people with essential life skills and safety knowledge necessary for navigating modern societal challenges.

In his keynote opening remarks, Aux. Amb. Commander Adegboyega Samuel O., the Osun State Commander of the Nigeria Cadet Network, described the initiative as a strategic investment in the intellectual, moral, and social development of the younger generation. He emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful tools for shaping responsible citizens and building a secure nation.
He stated:
“A single book can change a life, a classroom filled with books can transform a school, and a generation empowered through education and safety awareness can transform a nation.”
He further reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Cadet Network to partnering with traditional institutions, government agencies, schools, and community stakeholders to promote safety education and youth development across the country.
In her acceptance speech, Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi expressed profound gratitude for the honour bestowed upon her and reaffirmed her dedication to advancing initiatives that support children, families, and communities.
She described the investiture as both a privilege and a call to greater service, emphasizing her readiness to use her position to advocate for child protection, education, and youth empowerment.

She further noted that the Educate to Protect Initiative aligns closely with her long-standing passion for community development and humanitarian service.
